In an effort to create a more affordable option for mounting a bag to an arca rail, I’ve created the Poor's Bag Plate. Laser cut from 1/8″ thick stainless steel and adorned with the finest arca clamp that China has to offer, I’ve spared almost every expense to produce a functional but affordable product. This plate weighs about a pound and a half. It features an arca clamp on one side to attach it to a rifle. The other side has a length of arca rail. The slots around the perimeter allow multiple bags from multiple manufacturers to be used. The scallops on either side not only allow for the clamp to be reversed, but also fit nicely around a cattle gate or other props for extra stability. The width of the plate allows for a stabilizing platform for the shooter’s offhand. The addition of the fore and aft clamp mount holes allow the plate to be used as a platform for optics and other accessories. The goal is to pack as much utility into a package that is as reasonably priced as possible.
